Good scientifically valid results are achieved in preventive DVT treatment, before, during and after surgery. When lymph drainage is needed IPC has become a standard part of the treatment in many countries. With diabetic and edema patiēnts (lymph and lip) good results are achieved. Open wounds heal faster and amputations can be avoided in many cases . Because IPC cleans the arteries , high blood pressure is slowly reduced , so less medication is needed in the longer term. For people who can hardly walk IPC is an alternative movement.

Contra – Indications
